Incredibly detailed illusionistic painting of a collection of music paraphernalia related to Frederic Chopin. This painting, in oil on canvas, is full of delightful details. 
 
Realistic imaginary art has been around in various forms for a very long time. The earliest account comes from ancient Greece in ceiling paintings and murals at Knossos and Pompeii. In 1800, at the Salon in Paris a painting was introduced to the public as “trompe l’oeil” (deceive the eye) and it gained widespread popularity. 
This painting is signed, framed and in good condition. A small patch on the back.
