This is a magnificently imagined Civil War camp fire scene. One can almost feel the cold winter night. The recreated snow scene, a miniature, is very realistic and of the highest quality. Two hand painted Union Infantry lead soldiers on alert have a warm fire burning next to a frozen creek. This very artistic 3 dimensional shadow box is framed and covered with vintage wallpaper. It is a deaccession from the Berkshire Historical Society in Massachusetts where it was on exhibit. It is now available to a lucky buyer. 
 
The condition is very good. There is no internal light source. The pictures could give this impression.
