An authentic, framed single leaf from an liturgical manuscript gradual, dating to the late 16th or early 17th century. This piece features hand-inked large-format Gregorian chant notation with Latin text in Gothic script. The plainchant is created on vellum displaying natural graining, puckering, and patina. Includes visible historical corrections where the scribe scraped away dried ink to amend the melody. Housed in a custom silver-toned wooden frame.
Good antique condition consistent with age.
