1892 Antique English Fox Hunt Triptych by Thomas Blinks in Novelty Equestrian Frame.
A spectacular late Victorian English Fox Hunt triptych featuring three historic 1892 prints after the renowned British sporting artist Thomas Blinks (1860–1912). The primary draw of this highly collectible piece is its magnificent, completely intact novelty equestrian frame. Constructed from ebonized oak with a classic split-wood paneled back, the frame features authentic metal horseshoes inset at all four corners, a large weathered iron snaffle bit mounted above the central panel, and a leather-wrapped riding crop spanning the entire bottom length. Adding to its distinct presence, the top is crowned with a unique, heavily patinated cast-iron scrollwork crest.
Condition is good / very good (Venerable Vintage Age). The frame, glass, and iron hardware are completely intact, stable, and solid. The 130+ year-old lithograph prints display authentic, age-appropriate toning, minor silvering under the glass, and texturing that highlights their antique origins. The ebonized wood frame shows honest edge wear and historic drying lines along the natural grain. The cast iron crest displays a beautiful, weathered verdigris patination. Original paneled backing is entirely intact.
