18th Century English Longcase Clock Movement, W. Hayler Chatham.
Excellent quality longcase clock movement. The clock was handcrafted in England and dates from the late 18th century. It has a second hand dial with a calendar day of the month and strikes the hours on the original bell. The movement and two pulleys are mounted on the original seat-board. The maker's name, W. (William) Hayler Chatham is engraved on a plate in the center of the dial. The face is decorated with superb chiseled and gilded bronze dolphin spandrels.
