18th Century Venetian Polychrome Painted Rococo Side Chair
 
Charming polychrome hand painted and masterfully hand carved Venetian side chair. Cabriole legs are joined by stretchers at their base. This chair with its delicate carved rounded curving form, is embellished with fine polychrome decorations. It represents Venetian Rococo in its most mature form.
 
There are minor polychrome paint chips. The surface is beautifully patinated
over time. The chair is structurally sound. Overall wear is commensurate with
age and use.
