19th Century American Empire Mahogany Sofa Attr. to J. Meeks.
 
This rare and elegant American Empire sofa dated to circa 1840.  It is attributed to J. Meeks, a New York cabinet maker. The sofa is mahogany veneered and retained its original finish. Excellent condition with later fabric.
