19th Century American Folk Art Portrait Painting in Original Period Lemon Gilt Frame.
 
Beautiful and charming portrait painting in oil on canvas of a little girl holding a dove to her chest. Although painted with great artistry, it maintains the integrity of Folk Art quality. The canvas is laid down on a later board. The circa 1840 painting is housed in a period original American lemon gilt frame.
Condition is good. Some touch ups are noted. A small tear shows a repair attempt. The frame shows signs of natural wear and age.
