19th Century American Wooden Mortar and Pestle with Original Paint. Old Americana
 
Early rare turned wood mortar and pestle. It is American from the 19th Century.  The old green paint on both, the mortar and pestle, are original with no overpainting. The mortar is 7” tall and 5” at the mouth. The pestle is 9” long and 2” in diameter.  The condition is good.  Commensurate with age and use. The pestle has a partial split (see photos).
