19th Century Chinese Export Rose Medallion Dinner Plates, Set of 3
 
These beautiful hand enameled plates have the rose medallion canton design with birds, peonies, butterflies, and Mandarin people.   The plates are decoratively broken into 4 sections that center around a circular medallion.  They are unsigned and date from circa 1860-80.
 
Condition: 2 plates have no losses of any kind. One plate has 2 small chips only at the rim. Wear due to age and use.  Colors and delineation are good.
