19th Century Chinese Huali Kang Small Low Table

An intricately carved small Huali wood Kangzhuo table crafted with traditional joint legs. It is designed with rectangular top and pierced apron with linked c-scroll decoration. Created with rounded legs, often called, “ten thousand word” legs, which curve inward at the base that end in small hoof feet.. The low table was made during the late Qing period and features a unique 'ghost face' pattern in the grain.
It is said that these tables were traditionally used in special ceremonies and royal court events due to their stylish craftsmanship and beautiful design elements, which have been preserved throughout the centuries.
