19th Century Italian Marquetry Pedestal Center Table
 
Exceptional Italian neoclassical walnut and satinwood inlaid center table from the
19th century. The circular top is beautifully inlaid in a marquetry/parquetry louiscube design with an intricate circular outline. The apron is veneered with a similar refined decoration and inlaid. This extraordinary  turned baluster pedestal is intricately inlaid as is the tripod base,  Each leg is inlaid in a feathering fishbone design.  These patterns add color and interest to an already stunning shape. It is both a woodworking and geometrical achievement. 
 
The condition is good. Wear commensurate with age.
