19th Century Italian Porte Palma Altar Urn.
 
Original brass ornate altar urn used as palm holder in the early 19th century in Italy and Italianate churches. It is a testimony of the religious tradition in southern Italy. The condition is good, although the ornate handles show some solder repair. Wear is commensurate with age and use.
