 Late 19th Century Five-Gallon Stoneware Cake Crock with Pecking Cobalt Bird is Stamped, “OTTMAN BRO’S/ & CO/ PORT EDWARD, N.Y.”
Cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a bird pecking the ground. Cobalt highlights to maker’s mark.  A rare find.
 
Very good/good condition.  Wear consistent with age and use. A few interior and rim chips and minor staining. Nice patina.  Large and structurally sound.  Strong blue decoration.
