20th Century British War Time Painting Signed FLEMING (Ian Fleming) 
 
This dramatic oil painting, signed “Fleming” in the lower left corner, depicts a scene from the Second World War. The painting provides fascinating documentation of war time activities and events. It captures the chaotic aftermath of an air raid during the Clydebank Blitz in March 1941. This piece of art was created by the notable Scottish war artist Ian Fleming (1906-1994). He frequently documented the devastation and the heroic efforts of civilian and military rescue parties in Scotland during the war.
