American Victorian Eastlake Upholstered Chair 19th Century
Impressive carved and upholstered parlor chair, carved in openwork with two additional back legs set on brass casters. It was made in the midst of the Victorian Aesthetic Movement. The carved openwork wood frame with cushioned seat and backrest is solid and in good condition. The American Eastlake furniture of the 1870’s and 1890’s Renaissance Revival style was very popular during the Victorian era. This attractive and decorative chair is from the period.
Condition is very good. Wear and use commensurate with age.
