Antique Chinese Wooden Tea Basket 
 
Early 20th Century wooden tea basket is hand carved and hand painted with Chinese elements.  The hexagonal shaped box is brass banded at the middle and the foot.  The openwork carved handle secures and releases the lid by a peg and joint mechanism (see video).  Good patination. Good antique condition. Some wear due to age and use.
