Antique French Louis XVI Style Armchair a la reine after Georges Jacob 19th century.
 
This beautiful Fauteuil is carved from walnut wood and gold leaf gilded. It is upholstered in champagne color silk damask. The tapered fluted straight legs are resting on two bronze casters. This French armchair is based on the late 18th century design by Georges Jacob and features stylised acanthus leaf and ribbon motifs. The backrest is crowned with finials and a carved leaf wreath.
 
Condition: Newly upholstered.  Frame is sturdy.  Gilding has age appropriate wear.
