This is a stunning ecclesiastical hand worked chalice veil. The exquisite gold metallic embroidery and beadwork on cream colored silk make it a very fine devotional piece of textile. Each panel centers a ciborium embroidered in gilt metal threads and splendid embellishments with red glass beads and seed pearls. The fine silk and the stunning metal work is a beautiful example of religious art from the 19th century. 
 
Condition: Wear commensurate with age and use. The fabric is in very good condition. A glass stick bead and a seed pearl are missing. This treasure was very well taken care off.
