Arts & Crafts Impressionist Landscape Painting, Chicago Artist, 1926

 

This painting is a perfect example of the Arts & Crafts movement. It is a mature work of art and it shows skill and imagination. The landscape painting depicts a scene titled, “ Along the Waukarusha creek “. The  color scheme is expressive and striking and absorbed in the beauty of the scenery. The painting is signed on the lower left - LEE HUTTON -, a member of the 

Chicago Artist League. It was admitted to the Thirtieth Annual Exhibition of 1926. This painting is executed in oil on canvas and housed in a wood gilded frame. 

 

The condition is good.  Commensurate with age and wear.
