African Hand Carved Dogon Granary Door
 
Wooden door from Mali with hand carved images that represent the owner’s family history. The Dogon are without a written language; they interpret their existence through stories and artwork. The traditional shutter protects access to the grain storage hut. This door has various motifs carved in bas-relief on the front. It is made of hardwood. 
Condition is very good, commensurate with age and use.
