Chinese Natural Large Dushan Jade Carving Qing Dynasty
 
This is a superb piece of large jade carving from the 19th century. A group of deer are climbing the top of a mountain ridge. The color separation is
magnificent, from dark bluish green to a very light green jade. The
polished sculpture was created by a skilled craftsman in traditional
style with incredible detailing. Dushan is one of China’s most vibrant jades,
which has been mined from Mount Dushan in Nanyang for 4000 years.
The condition is very good with all characteristics of natural minerals. The  jade carving stands on a wooden base.
