18th century Venetian Rococo polychrome and gilded Chair.

Gorgeous Venetian muted green and gilt carved wood side chair. This Rococo chair is polychrome painted with gilt accents. This elegant chair is carved with graceful cabriole legs. The seat has been recently reupholstered in a pink candy stripe. The chair is structurally sound. There are some polychrome chips and a few treated wormholes. Overall wear is commensurate with age and use. Beautifully patinated over time.

Provenance: From the Estate of Paulette Goddard sold at Sotheby's NY in 1990.
