French 19th Century Grand Tour Neoclassical Giltwood Gueridon.
 
Antique French late 19th century Neoclassical Gueridon. This magnificent Gueridon with slender form and classic female caryatids demonstrates the stylistic influence of the Louis XVI period. A concave tripod base supports three hand carved and gilded maiden sculptures. The rare “Portoro d’oro” marble top was chosen to create this striking and regal furniture.
 
Condition is very good. Probably later regilding. A couple flea bites on the marble edge.
