An antique Louis XV style hand carved and gilded 19th century console with an original serpentine white marble top. It is supported by a deeply recessed conforming body with a relief carved frieze. It has a centered, delicately carved acanthus shell. The apron is supported by richly carved C-scrolls with flower pendants and acanthus scroll feet. The cabriole legs are joined by incurved carved stretchers. Condition is overall very good. Some wear to finish and minor chips to gilding. Size: Height 36” x width 38” x depth 18 ½” Weight: 55 lb.
