Henredon Scene Three Burl Wood & Black Lacquer Chinoiserie Style Demilune Console Table.
 
This glamorous Chinoiserie-style burl and black lacquer demilune table is sublime in form, created and labeled by the Maker, Henredon. It retains a beautiful, sleek and glossy lacquer finish.  The top is centered with burl and is raised on two pedestal legs that rest on three graduated tiers. Brass finishings include pedestal cuffs and a brass rim encasing the burl work on the top.  A statement piece of much deserved attention that mingles well with eclectic styles.
Minor wear due to age and use does not diminish the smooth surface which is highly reflective.  One ding in brass rim is noticed (see photos)

Founded in 1945, Henredon is one of the more recently minted of the top-tier North Carolina furniture makers.  Partnerships of the maker include Dorothy Draper and Frank Lloyd Wright and associations stretch into the collections for Ralph Lauren and Laura Ashley.
