Japanese Meiji Period Patinated Bronze Baluster Vase Converted Lamp.
 
Very rare Japanese Meiji period bronze baluster vase. The bronze body is decorated with birds and branches in high relief. The fine casting of the bronze is masterfully done and the brown patination is of highest quality. This beautiful vase is considered one of the finest pieces of Japanese bronze art. At one time the vase was converted to an elegant electrified table lamp. It is in working condition. The attractive shade is included. The condition of the lamp is very good. Wear commensurate with age and use.
