Bright neon signs light up the streets. This work has a quality only seen in the watercolors by John Marin. The artist of this painting masters the fluid medium of watercolors in perfection. The painting is signed, titled and dated 1949-50. It is glazed, triple matted and framed. Cityscapes were a popular genre in mid-century art.
