Late 18th Century Baroque Florentine Hand Carved Giltwood Mirror
 
Large late 18th century spectacular Baroque period mirror, profusely hand carved foliate giltwood frame. This artisan used the Italian technique of intaglio for the Medicean design. The backside frame corners are reinforced with butterfly insets.
 
Condition. The mirror is regilded probably in the 19th century. 
The beveled mirror plate is later.
