This 19th Century bombe tulipwood secretary is built with superior craftsmanship and intricate marquetry. A pull down door reveals an inside compartment with four drawers and a leather writing surface. The secretary is raised on cabriole legs and it is decorated with magnificent ormolu mounts. It is stamped in the wood G.DURAND.(Gervais Maximilien Eugene Durand, 1839-1920)  He was one of the most popular French Ebenistes of the 19th century. Each ormolu casting is monogramed and numbered. Henry Dasson (1825-1896) Bronze Sculptor.
 
Condition is very good. Few minor veneer losses.
