Mid-Century Chinoiserie 45 inch Hand-Etched Brass Tray Coffee Table on Teak Spider Base.
An exceptional and sophisticated Mid-Century Modern brass tray coffee table, circa 1960s. This striking piece features a substantial 45-inch hand-etched brass tray top resting on a sculptural teakwood "spider leg" folding base, marrying Eastern artistry with Danish Modern structural minimalism. 
The removable, solid brass charger top is beautifully detailed with intricate, hand-stamped iconography framed by an elegant, crimped "pie-crust" scalloped edge. The tray rests securely on an interlocking, six-legged spider base crafted from teakwood. Designed with an original central metal pivot mechanism, the base folds entirely flat for effortless transport or storage. Each gracefully curved leg terminates in its original, solid brass sabot.
Condition: Very good Vintage Condition. The teakwood base is structurally sound and folds smoothly. The brass tray retains a warm, authentic golden patina with light, age-appropriate character marks and minimal oxidation. Original felt floor protectors intact beneath the brass sabots.
