A spectacular, highly tactile mid-to-late 20th-century expressionist landscape painting Heavily influenced by the bold palettes of Fauvism, this piece is executed with a masterfully thick impasto technique, using expressive palette knife work and gestural brushstrokes to build intense, layered surface textures. A classic sgraffito technique is implemented as the composition features windswept, dancing palm trees in vibrant greens and electric blues contrasted against a deeply saturated violet twilight sky.  The painting captures the eccentric, sun-drenched "Old Florida" coastal lifestyle. It is signed by the artist in fine script on the upper-middle background canvas, nestled between the two central palm tree trunks.
