This iconic piece of art is a testament to the creative movement of the early 1900s, as started and made popular by Picasso, Kurt Schwitters and Duchamps. This Fine and unusual Folk Art portrait of Mother and Child is composed of copper and aluminum nails, pins and various other found elements. At a later time it was fenced and fortified by rope weaving and stronger nails. The piece is worked on top of a wooden base. This original and unique icon is an earlier example of a popular art trend in found object assemblage.
