Pair Chinese Qing Kangxi Blue & White Shou Ginger Jars, 18th Century
Chinese Kangxi period pair of ginger jars decorated in underglaze blue on off-white porcelain ground. Decorated with 4 shou (longevity) characters alternating with stylized lotus heads. Ruyi cloud collar and base lappets are also indicated. Typical of Kangxi porcelain, the glazed bases have an underglaze blue double ring mark at the center and are covered in “pig’s bristle holes.” The foot rims and the exterior mouths are unglazed and the interiors are glazed.
Measurements: Diameter 6.5” x Height 6”.
Good overall condition. A flea bite on the mouth of one jar.
