Pair French 19th C. Ormolu Bronze Glass “Versailles” Style Lanterns
 
Pair of exquisite hanging lanterns with octagonal beehive shape in molded crisply cut and faceted glass shades with ormolu bronze mounting. These lanterns are created in Versaille style after an 18th century model from the Palace of Versaille, France. The large pair of French antique Louis XIV style hall lanterns are of exceptional quality. The glass shades are surmounted with intricate acanthus leaf designed ormolu bronze wreaths. The bronze mounts are beautifully casted, finely hand chiseled and chased with extraordinary skill and delicacy. The single light lanterns having a bronze cap on the bottom, ending with an acorn finial.
Both lanterns are in good condition. Rewiring is required.
