Palatial English Sterling Silver Cushion Frame Vanity Dressing Mirror
Elaborate 19th Century large cushion style repousse sterling silver vanity mirror. The proportions of this mirror, alone, set it apart from most other vanities. In addition, the craftsmanship is rare and exquisite. The original glass is mounted on a velvet-covered wood back. The arrangement of four inset mirror panels on the sides creates an impressive and rich effect. The fully hallmarked sterling silver decoration that covers the surface of the mirror frame is embossed and finely chiseled. It is an ornate and highly decorative masterpiece in the English silversmith tradition.
