Parisian Cityscape, Signed and Framed Oil on Canvas by Serge Belloni, ‘57
This painting has all the quintessential features of Belloni’s renowned Parisian works. The street corner painted features the architecture of the Boucherie Chevaline, otherwise known as the Horse Butcher. A man in a long coat stands outside it’s doors. The vivacity of the city is evident in Belloni’s lively brush strokes. Each one an indication of movement.
Widely acclaimed as, “Le Peinture de Paris” (The Painter of Paris) Serge Belloni (b. 1925, Plaisance, Italy) lived and exhibited in Paris. By his 20s he was painting it’s street scenes and cityscapes.
This painting is oil on canvas and housed in a wood frame.
