Queen Anne Style Side Table by Eldred Wheeler.
 
The oval top side table is made from tiger maple in the American country Queen Anne style of the 18th Century by Eldred Wheeler. This earlier Wheeler creation is beautifully crafted in exacting details. The side table, with an oval shaped thin edged top, tampered legs and pad feet, has a remarkable similarity to one illustrated in Joseph Downs American Furniture: Queen Anne and Chippendale Periods.
 
Eldred Wheeler was one of the nation’s premier designers and builders of 18th Century reproduction furniture. Although, we do not generally deal in reproduction pieces we made an exception for the perfection of craftsmanship in this choice tiger maple piece. This is a classic example of master woodworking.
 
Condition is very good vintage. Mild wear due to age and use. Minor surface scratches on tabletop.
