Regency English Mahogany Near Pair Elbow Armchairs
 
These English Regency style elbow chairs with upholstered seats were made in the 19th Century.  The two armchairs are a near pair and stand on turned front legs and sabre back legs.  Both chairs feature a rope twist turned center rail back rest and shaped reeded arms. Stripped upholstery has wear (see photos).  Some old repairs are noted (see photos). Nice patination.  Solid craftsmanship.
