Venetian Rococo Style Painted and Gilded Side Chair
 
Very rare antique 19th century Venetian Rococo style side or hall chair.
It features an elegantly curved backrest with a shaped crest rail and a 
central splat decorated with hand-painted rococo motifs. The frame has a
distressed gilt and painted finish, typical of Venetian furniture, that echoes the sumptuous lines of the 18th century. It sits on cabriole legs. The seat is upholstered in a plush fabric in muted green tone. 
Condition is good. The chair is sturdy. Wear commensurate with age and use.
