Vintage Art Deco Figural Brass Peacock Folding Fireplace Screen, Circa 1925.
An exceptional early 20th-century Art Deco solid brass folding "peacock" fireplace hearth screen, featuring a highly sought-after figural relief design. Nine masterfully pierced filigree louver panels deploy smoothly outwards on a shared pivot point to replicate the grand tail fan of a peacock. Designed both as a functional hearth screen and an artistic seasonal cover, this high-relief, dual-sided sculptural piece beautifully filters light and adds an unmistakable layer of antique luxury to any traditional or Hollywood Regency-styled interior.
Very good vintage condition. Light age-appropriate patina and gentle surface wear consistent with age. Mechanics function smoothly, and all nine blades align beautifully when fully deployed.
